In the past few days I’ve seen a lot of talk about generative art, with many different opinions and takes, but in the end I’m just happy the art is getting more spotlight again.
To join the discussion I wanted to share my favourite generative piece that I hold. It’s without a doubt a Pebbles by @Ze_blocks, part of the NextGen 6529 collection. @Ars0nic and @Cheaterflums really created something special here.
Generative art is here to stay because it’s not just digital art saved on-chain, it’s art that’s created with code and rules that make each piece unique. This process lets artists set the framework, but the final result is shaped by algorithms, making every mint a one-of-one experience for collectors.
On-chain storage and smart contracts prove ownership and keep provenance clear forever, while royalties give artists steady income without middlemen. It also makes art collecting more interactive and accessible, since you don’t just buy a finished piece, you participate in the creation.
As more people want transparent, fair, and creative ways to own art online, generative art still feels perfectly built for the blockchain era.
