Website project!
The federal government has over XXXXX public-facing websites, many of which are obsolete or unused. For ~10%, there were fewer than XX views in the past month. Each website costs the taxpayer between $100k and $6M per year.
An initial audit suggests ~20% can be deleted or consolidated. Thus far, X have been deleted, saving $1M/year.
As an example, was used to allocate recycling revenue to agencies based on occupancy; this has been replaced by a spreadsheet and saved $120k/year.
