This story is a lie.
@RichardGrenell is NOT in hot water at all. He works very hard to support President Trump and serves at the pleasure of President Trump.
In fact, I’m told Grenell had permission from the White House to fly to Antigua to secure the release of an American citizen from Venezuela.
The White House confirmed this today.
I also know the White House was aware because a source told me there was supposed to be a RECEPTION for Joe St Clair at the White House to celebrate his release from captivity by the Trump administration.
It’s pretty obvious someone from the State Department who doesn’t like Grenell planted this hit piece against Grenell.
That’s really messed up. Even the White House is on the record calling out the @nypost story for being one big lie.
People should be thanking Grenell for saving an American hostage from Venezuela.
The fact is, if the US doesn’t keep the oil licenses, China will take the oil.
