I took some advice and adjusted the takeup spool slightly to the left with a small piece of folded masking tape as it's more durable but just as thin as paper. I'm very happy that its now playing properly. As you can see the pianola is not running very well the roll is very jumpy when being wound on and it struggles on the rewind. At the time of recording it was quite creased; I have since made it a bit better.
