"This really makes me sad about the demise of Boeing. They cant even complete a VC-25B (an aircraft for POTUS in the country they were founded in) on time and they dropped the contract to SNC for the E-4C. They were focused on a short term profit gain only to find a long term profit loss. Airbus just out delivered XXX with their A320. Then you look at the titan engine manufactures like Rolls Royce and Pratt & Whitney and they too have destroyed so much legacy. Things should improve with time and some how they get worse"

"A Bell XXX (think Airwolf) has crashed in Huntington Beach California this afternoon. N222EX is well know to visit local car shows and charity events in SoCal. You can see the tail rotor start to change directions in the video and a fast clockwise rotation starts meaning tail rotor authority has been lost. This is the absolute worst time to lose a tail rotor. In forward flight you have a chance but near zero airspeed its next to impossible to fly the aircraft out of it. Latest report is it was just the pilot onboard and he is alive with injures. Pray🙏 🎥@sipthisteaaaaa"

"Some may wonder why the exhaust stacks on this particular Bell XXX differ from other 222s. The reason is because this helicopter was converted in the 1980s via STC to install (2) Allison/Rolls Royce 250C30G engines to replace the original Lycoming Engines. Effectively this conversion became the predecessor for the Bell XXX that began deliveries in 1992. My personal opinion is that I dont like these engine STCs this had nothing to do with todays accident but I just dont like it. Its like putting a diesel engine into a Tesla yeah. it works but why do it if you dont have to Wait for the B or C"

"Heres the clearest view yet of the Bell XXX accident in Huntington Beach California today. Everything is fine and they are maybe around XX feet above ground level from the landing zone until there is a catastrophic failure of the tail rotor system. The fuselage or body of the helicopter is suspended underneath the main rotor. The main rotor rotates counterclockwise and because of torque effect the fuselage wants to spin in the opposite direction. The small rotor or tail rotor is there to compensate for this effect. Think of arm wrestling one arm wants to go one way and the other arm is there"
