"ICYMI: Full Self-Driving V14 will go wide (to AI4 vehicles en masse) in a subsequent V14.2 update as V13 did with V13.2. Based on feedback from current testers we anticipate this will be before the end of the month"

"Elon has reiterated that there's no concern about AI4 vehicles accomplishing Unsupervised and that they will feel "alive" long before AI5. AI5 is currently planned to have excessive compute so much so that Tesla may use idle/"bored" boards as distributed inference compute"

"@nikitabier Heeeeey any chance you could add "Analytics" as a custom navigation option on iOS for Premium subscribers Chat was added but it's still two taps (and some loading latency in between) to go from Premium - Analytics. Would greatly improve UX. Cheers. 🥂"

"@Hurricane350 Happens very very seldomly. There has been two waves in the same XX hours from time to time. Happened a dozen or so times. But three or more waves has been maybe three times in all of Tesla software history"

"@Project_RCC What did they lie about A rollout did end up occurring within the same day and 10x the size of the prior wave. Tesla typically only does XX% waves for standard feature updates not FSD builds so this is not usual and thus directly a result of the earnings call"

"Those feelings are valid. If it may (or may not) help to provide a technical reasoning behind our position: When FSD was first released it took up about 30-45% of HW3's compute. By V12 the board is now compute constrained. With AI4 on V14 the board is barely using XX% which has proven to be good enough to launch Robotaxis on and soon to not require safety drivers (by year end). So if you imagine even a theoretical future "V20" the compute on AI4 would still not be close to compute constrained and thus lends to confidence that running a model for Unsupervised is entirely possible"

"@franitog @techarchitek @Aviator_Pete @Tesla Read the rest of the thread and our technical breakdown. But tldr; because back then we knew HW3 was unlikely to be good enough (and argued with anyone who claimed otherwise) but AI4 has plenty of compute to spare"

"A very limited rollout of Full Self-Driving V14.1.3 is now going out to @Tesla Model S and X vehicles. Previously only Model X and Model Y were included. As of right now 2025.32.8.15 (containing V14.1.3) has gone out to about XXX% of eligible AI4 vehicles"

"@techarchitek @Aviator_Pete @Tesla All vehicles sold today can reach Unsupervised you don't need to wait for such to buy a new vehicle. But if you truly insist it's looking incredibly likely that it will be reached next year given how Robotaxi and V14 is performing"

"When Tesla launched V12 in the United States it took them almost two and a half months to expand it to Canada despite many similarities in the road styles. It's reasonable to consider the same for Australia. Sure it can feel like a slap in the face to see AI4 vehicles get FSD while HW3 gets nothing but we suspect this will change rather soon (November). Communication could definitely be better from @Tesla_AI and @TeslaAUNZ about expected timelines (even if clarifying that delays may occur) but we've generally made good calls about outlooks and we feel confident in an initial FSD release for"

"@Grimace_1982 @Aviator_Pete @techarchitek @Tesla Well this earnings call we were told wed get V14 Lite in Q2 and prior earnings call Elon stated that theyd probably have to replace the hardware. Those combined are essentially the plan; software boost and then when Unsupervised is completed then retrofit to support it"
