"MT5 has a setting where you can set any time duration during news just to widen spreads by a fixed margin. Funny how props increase spreads by X times during the X minute news window. Very disappointed to say the least. I'm never the one to complain about slippage but this is fixed spread widening to swing odds in the firms favour. It seems like the best option is the avoid news altogether. Even during challenge.
