"I would remain very cautious about New England getting into the well above average warm dome around Christmas. Hypothetically if the NAO continues to trend negative; more importantly further west any troughing would be pivoted further west. This would keep the region colder. Snow chances maybe higher but need a clearer snapshot for that which isn't clear right now. For the remainder of the country (central US southeast etc) Christmas will likely remain warmer than average given the ridge will probably be quite extensive"
