"Well no. This is wrong haha Its actually not that simple / easy Pay matters. But saying just pay more is lazy and ignores how factories actually work. Im in plants every week. Some pay well above local averages and still cant staff nights weekends or brutal lines. Theyre getting crushed from both sides: overseas competition on cost and big customers demanding annual price reductions. Tariffs freight energy and interest rates already chew up margin. Just add $3/hour is how you lose the plant to Mexico or Asia. Workers arent picking between two factories. Theyre picking Amazon trades gig work"

"heres why we will win I know our competition & I know they wont: X. drive X hours to a factory in the middle of nowhere X. live at that factory for X months X. do factory shifts to understand workflows X. work weekends if you didnt bet on us you lost"

"I have been to 10+ factories across the USA in XX days heres what I learned: - Everyones hiring nobody can find people - Retirements are a tribal knowledge crisis - Language barriers in many factories - World-class robots but use paper/whiteboards - Same ERPs everywhere data is siloed Excel is default - Everyone hates their 30+/yr old ERP but are locked in - Huge gap between connecting software and hardware - People know about AI but nobody uses it - Every factory is different (even if owned by same company) - We don't take USA manufacturing seriously enough as a country This gets me fired"

"Haha I could talk about this for hours A few reasons: X. ERP providers charge crazy implantation fees (hundreds of thousands) X. Take on avg. 2-4/yrs to implement (time sink) X. Lock customers in for 3-5 years X. Hold data hostage TLDR: They suck have horrible UI excuses to ignore customers and stop innovation"
