Some pay well above local averages and still cant staff nights weekends or brutal lines. Theyre getting crushed from both sides: overseas competition on cost and big customers demanding annual price reductions. Tariffs freight energy and interest rates already chew up margin. Just add $3/hour is how you lose the plant to Mexico or Asia. Workers arent picking between two factories. Theyre picking Amazon trades gig work"
