"Nicolai's first year on the PGA Tour was based was home with lots of travel to the US. This year he and Rasmus shared a house in the US. Robert MacIntyre went the other way basing himself in the US but missing home too much and moving back to Scotland and doing the extra travel. "I've been advised that the Ryder Cup event itself counts. I thought the Open Championship was the one major that counted for Team Europe. I know the Olympics counted last year. A bigger concern might be the continuing fines LIV players incur for playing in LIV events without a DPWT release. Hatton and Rahm's hearing will take place and when the decision goes in favour of the DPWT (as the original Arbitration Hearing did) those fines will need to be paid. LIV Golf who have been paying these fines for all their players since 2022 will no longer be paying fines from the start of next year. Rahm"

"Is that because it's what they hear from many fans I remember when Mito Pereira threw away the 2022 PGA Championship and Justin Thomas won in a playoff over Will Z. This was a major and it was ridiculed by many fans because the winning score was -X and not -XX. The fact that on a demanding golf course JT played the last XX holes -X and then was -X in the three-hole playoff was beyond their golf intelligence to grasp as good play. "The banning Rahm for association was an interesting change of action from the PGA Tour. Prior to Rahm all LIV players were banned for "playing in a conflicting event as per the membership agreement". Rahm wasn't and there is potentially a fresh lawsuit waiting should Jon Rahm ever choose to pursue it. It is also why players like Tyrrell Hatton delayed announcing their move to LIV until just before the first LIV event of the season. Hatton played in the 2024 Sentry and Sony Open events on the PGA Tour before announcing his move to LIV banking some extra OWGR points"
