"Mets won XX games with the 2nd highest payroll. They did that by clogging up the roster overpaying for good but not great players hitting their declines. Clearly the fanbase wanted that trend to continue. People say the Mets are worse.it could be argued that both Williams and Semien are upgrades. Semien out performed Nimmo in XX less games last year. Relief pitchers can be flukey Williams could easily outperform Diaz next year. So right now the only production they are down is Alonsos 3WAR.this is not crazy"

"Gilbert is not good. Iglesias was REALLY bad last year. The process behind the bullpen trades was good but failed. It happens. The Mullins thing was terrible. I cant see any logic around that at all. There were many mistakes made in roster construction for sure. That being said.they were a bad team. Even if they made a few better moves and won a couple more games and made the playoffs.were they really a good team They were more than one good RP or SP away from being a good team"
