"🚨FINAL POWER RATINGS FOR 2025🚨 This is it folks -- the last set of Power Ratings for the 2025 season. The hay is in the barn and all that's left are bowl games and given the nature of opt-outs and team attention I am not going to update these after the postseason. A few notes: * Indiana began the year at No. XX in Power Ratings and at no time did I expect the Hoosiers to be at the top spot. It's a great coaching job by Curt Cignetti and great execution by the players. * A few other teams that wildly exceeded preseason ratings include Vanderbilt which finished 10th after beginning at 49;"

"@RossDellenger Jim Phillips thinks there are XX (or more) teams that can win the national championship The real number is probably six"

"In terms of "best" I agree. Notre Dame is definitely among the top three to five teams. But in terms of accomplishment/earning it is much more questionable. And since the committee has typically leaned on deserving it makes sense. I don't agree with it -- I think all of ND/Bama/Miami should have been in -- but I get it"

"The end of the college football season means awards and honors and among those honors is the unveiling of All-America teams. It should come as no surprise that the teams nearest the top of the rankings have the most All-America selections in 2025. Across the three units of the College Football Focus AA teams Indiana leads the way with eight selections including three first-teamers. Ohio State has seven while Texas A&M Texas Tech and Oregon each have four while Texas Miami and Iowa have three apiece. Also unlike the other All-America teams I do tend to reward G5 players. 1ST TEAM OFFENSE QB"

"A few thoughts: * Brady wants nothing to do with college football so while he might be a good choice it almost certainly isn't happening. * Fisch isn't the massive home run hire many think it would be * It's funny seeing Brohm on all of these lists when he isn't leaving Louisville * Freeman isn't going to UM * As an OSU fan I would be worried if the hire was Minter or Dillingham. I think both are really good. * On the flip side I would not be worried if the hire was Fisch Fleck Heupel Rees or Poggi. In fact I hope it IS one of those guys"

"We released our All-America teams a bit earlier this morning and now it's time to spotlight the top freshmen in college football for the 2025 season. There is a combination of true freshmen and redshirts which means that you may not see some of the names that other services have released because they typically include only first-year players. And yes despite what Ohio State says Julian Sayin is indeed a redshirt freshman. Want proof He is one of five finalists up for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year award. FRESHMAN ALL-AMERICA TEAMS 1ST TEAM OFFENSE QB Julian Sayin/Ohio State (RS) RB"

"@ESPN_Schick If the G5 is good enough -- as Cincinnati was -- then by all means let them in. The CFP should be about excellence/earning it instead of inclusion just for the sake of it"

"The number of people who don't understand that Stanford's decline in the late stages of David Shaw's tenure was due to the school not wanting to embrace the changes in college football and not because of coaching shortcomings is staggering. I don't think he gets hired by Michigan but if he did I would start to take the Wolverines seriously again"
