The bigger the market becomes the more liquidity is needed to absorb shocks and de-risk assets. So it is a good thing. If Trump & co. are going to open up retirement accounts to bitcoin liquidity and stability are paramount. The best way to de-risk bitcoin is to spread it around as much as possible. "You nailed it - this is a good question. The world is lining up around this opposition. USA/bitcoin-crypto stewed with the dollar v. China & BRICS/gold-backed. The move is towards a multi-polar currency world. It's unlikely that dollar hegemony will stand at least as long as regionalism and retrenchment are the new order. Gold will never fully demonetize (at least not in our lifetime) but its limitations (storage transport) will become apparent. Bitcoin is unlikely to swallow the world because it also has its own disadvantages but its velocity and self-custody options also give it some"

"If our mis-handled allies are dumping treasuries--and they are--then we need a vehicle to absorb them and stablecoin is it since the GENIUS Act requires the Chosen Ones of stablecoin to be backed by treasuries to command institutional involvement. There is no other clear path. We are being sent down this road like it or not. It's the ultimate bet on retrenchment and regionalism marrying Treasuries to stablecoins then exporting them to the world (even as they dump them). Position accordingly"
