"Smart man. I wouldn't invest in individual stocks yet for divvys until you have time to make sure they are companies you want to invest in first. ETFs are easy: $SCHD pays quarterly is the cadillac of dividend ETF investing. $DGRO is a good one each pay quarterly. in time the divvys will be taxed as a qualified dividends. Take a look at covered call ETFs pay monthly high yield but not as tax friendly. $JEPQ is a favorite of mine. (divvys taxed as ordinary inome) $GPIX is a new one I really like. (tax friendlier distributions not as good as qualified but better than ordinary) $GPIQ is a good"
