"Hey I've covered $ROOT on Seeking Alpha a few times. The main idea is that they do auto P&C insurance digitally through similar distributors like Carvana. This means the long-term bet is the future value of the balance sheet as they retain earnings to cover the growth in policies. You can then pick what kind of Price/Book multiple you think is likely. First profitable quarter was Q3 last year sent the stock from $XX to $XX. Climbed more as sequential revenue growth kept happening but EPS has not been growing as opex increased. Might be that this is what spooked investors and brought it down."
