"Yes and no. Google & Meta in particular owe a large portion of their current FCF to applied ML in their core business over the past XX years. Amazon & Microsoft as well but not to quite the same extent. No that's not necessarily Gen AI but it's still massively parallel accelerated compute running some form of NN. And it's been these free cash flows that have fueled the continued R&D that has given us the AI hardware and software tech stack that we have today. Yes CAPEX is accelerating massively but all still within the limits of the FCF of the big X driven both by the AI fueled optimizations"
