The square spine requires some different pressing techniques to ensure you dont squish the spine as well as making sure you dont have any of the glue leak out of the binding among other concerns. Thats where the cover bunches up along the spine creating dents see the 2nd pic. This happens when the magazine is opened and read. When thats done repeatedly the ink on the cover wears off creating little white lines. Those are called spine ticks that break color. Both are significant defects and will damage your grade. While pressing cant fix the color break pressing can fix the dents. If you care about the grade of your magazine get it"
