"Unencrypted scripts are an issue for anonymity. So are encrypted ones but less so. In the absence of full-featured scripting in Monero (they dont presently have any of this but TxExtra could be made more programmatic easily) If you really want a good trip down interesting lane check out MYSTERIOUS_MINERGATE_TAG written into protocol in (file location) monero/src/cryptonote_basic/tx_extra.h Thats top of my head so maybe not exact path You should wonder what this is doing to your anonymity or any tagged output in your decoy selection I wonder if FCMP will matter much if this stuff is still"

"After working in/around $KMD community for the last 5+ years (and still presently working on $VRSC) knowing that $ARRR is a Komodo blockchain at end of day too Taking some time to figure out how I feel about this before commenting Either way nice stack choice by $GLEEC"

"Hi as I think more about this blocksize is a red herring It is trivial to add no-verification-necessary OP_RETURNs to XMR transactions. These are problematic in rings (as is the entirety of a tx_extra I.e. Monero scripting space in tx format) I dont see why blocksize and complexity of proving FCMP need to be related. But it also depends on the anonymity (presence of unique metadata even if encrypted) of FCMP compared to say z-transactions (these do include some unique metadata but much less than ring members leak in Monero)"

"Sorry that should read: *in absence of full-featured scripting in Monero (.) blocksize seems a very naive way to limit dos risk Further blocksize limits could be expanded nearly endlessly with OP_RETURN style TxExtra The core question as a result is: are there ways we can 1.) retain/improve anonymity 2.) keep verification time constant 3.) potentially find use for the block space while not imposing limits and 4.) not reduce blocksize naively to solve proving complexity Youre right that dynamic blocksizes are an attack vector when built into protocol like this"

"@specialkdelslay @gpork @GayBearRes Yes. You really dont need a credit score very much if you have cash on hand + 401k you can borrow against"
