"Agree with this take but I think its worth noting the distinction between USDT0 and Native USDT. Correct me if I'm wrong but Plasma hasn't announced they'll be launching with Native USDT USDT0 is issued by a completely separate entity (everdawn labs) and comes with an additional layer of trust assumptions. Maybe none of that actually matters but it definitely dilutes the effect of "tether chain" if it's a USDT0 chain (which is effectively cross-chain tether lol)"

"Part of the reason this alt run feels real is that 1) ETH is pumping and 2) it isn't an echo pump of tokens that we all knew were vaporware (Virtuals ai16z insert AI agent that was half-baked). Say what you will about ETH being overvalued but at least it's a real network with some fundamentals to speak of. HYPE and PUMP deserve attention for obvious reasons and DeFi pumping seems reasonable given the past X years of work done improving these platforms. I'm not confident this environment is sufficient for DeFi Summer 2.0; we might need rate cuts to go that risk-on. But this PA looks great I'm"

"Confirms what I expected. Compared to Hyperliquid Robinhood caters to a different user type that does less volume per user (0.7% of total Hyperliquid volume) and therefore produces less average revenue. Just speculation but I expect majority of HL users who withdraw to Coinbase (1/3 of total HL volume) do so to offramp. So if your concern is that Robinhood takes over future perps growth by volume the data shows otherwise. As for vamping present day users Id be amazed if HL users are willing to accept higher fees lower leverage and lower coin diversity just for an improvement in mobile UX"

"Those chasing ETH beta via DeFi tokens will be let down this bull run. DeFi summer taught us that value accrues from ETH - DeFi projects. It's a logical conclusion given that DeFi is the most popular sector on Ethereum. But what's become evident is the real ETH beta is actually boomer coins (i.e. XRP HBAR XLM ADA TRX ALGO etc.) These are the B-tier majors tokens with 11-figure market caps yet no fundamentals to back it up. The primary tailwind here is the lindy effect + CEX exposure which makes these tokens an easy buy for non-crypto natives. What were seeing instead is that ETH beta now"
