Trillions in global debt that is dollar denominated debt which means these foreign countries need to pay back this debt as well as interest in dollars. Why would any foreign country.think Mexico for example sell us treasuries when they need the dollars for their debt obligations. No one in the world wants to be paid in pesos they all want dollars. No country is going to sell us obligations because they are pissed at us. They cant. They need the dollars and with a shortage in effect now aint gonna happen"
