"I get it but there are valid reasons for some regulation on autos. Look at Fisker owners who bought cars & have no service support. Imagine XX Fiskers popping up & operating really sketchy leaving a lot more folks in their wake. Nothing is black or white & folks can argue both sides. Truth is in the middle but to many its a zero sum game they are all bad or all good. I have issues with some of the direct to consumer sales like Tesla & Rivian: zero ability to negotiate on a trade (people sell elsewhere but the tax implication is real) watching someone buy their first Tesla who doesnt know much"

"Yeah same with friends. They assume because Toyota made really good quality ICE vehicles that their EVs will be great as well. I dont know if it does or doesnt have a heat pump. I always recommend to friends that the first EV they get should be a Tesla as its like an EV with training wheels for newbies & it makes transitioning so easy. But I do have friends that wont even consider a Tesla Im sure you know why"

"Right now is correct. The Lucid Gravity top trim will be targeting these exact buyers. But Ford-Lincoln isnt playing right now with the Navigator & Mercedes has nothing anyone wants or size. Really in the full size SUV there isnt anything to compete. Rivian R1S is nice but targeted more at offroad Jeep or Land Rover customer"

Im not saying Apple was lazy designing the iPhone well at least when they started but recently yes Apple has been living off old designs the same as Tesla. At some point people get bored with antiseptic stark designs. They may use it because its good but they dont like it. Take the temperature of folks who hate the Apple ecosystem but only stay because its hard to switch. Cars are different. People dont buy phones or computers on emotion they do with autos"
