"With $SPX one way to tell if price volatility instead of implied volatility which relates to options is to look at the range of a day from the high to the low. For example on 10/13/25 the range from high to low on $SPX was XXXXX points. On 10/14/25 the high to low range was XXXXXX points - more than twice as high on Monday. Todays high to low range was XXXXXX points - less than yesterday but still more than twice the size of Mondays range.
