I am not saying they will do this but I don't think it is completely out of the question that OpenAI could claim that to be true if you consider the following: - OpenAI has already projected revenues (not profit) of $100bn in 2029; they could increase those projections following GPT-5. - Gross margins are already at XX% expected to get to XX% by 2028."
