"On December 9th 2020 SN8 took to the South Texas skies on a flight up to an altitude of XXXX kilometers. with the ambitious goal of landing back at the launch site. The flight went better than most expected with SN8 maintaining control all the way up hill and most of the way back down. It was during the landing burn when SN8 was lost. Low pressure in the header tanks caused the engines to fail leading to the hard landing and explosion of SN8"

"SpaceX would try the same flight X more times; the next three SN9 XX and XX would end in varying degrees of failure. Some fun things to note: SN9 fell over into the corner walls of highbay during construction. SN10 "technically" landed however too hard causing an explosion minutes after landing. And yes this is the first reflight of a starship"

"At the same time Starship MK2 was being constructed in Cocoa Florida. Work on MK2 promptly stopped when the failure of MK1 occurred and SpaceX paused operations to reevaluate the direction the program was headed. Parts for MK3 also existed later becoming SN1"

"In February of 2020 three months after MK1's failure SN1 rolled out for testing and verifying new welds and tank structures. SN1 also experienced failure along its dome welds causing the tank to eject its bottom dome"

"After SN1 comes SN2 SN2 was a shorter test tank that rolled out for testing in March of 2020 to once again test the new tank dome welds and structure. SN2 passed testing and later became a water tank at the Starbase storage lot"

"SN3 (Yes another test tank) had a structural failure during testing due to low pressure in the lower LOX tank resulting in the upper CH4 tank falling over and popping"

"Next up SN5 & SN6 two quite similar vehicles both performing well during cryo and static fire testing so much so that SpaceX opted to conduct a hop test of both up to XXX meters. Both of these flights were fully successful with the only exception being that SN6 caused significant damage to test stand A"

"In September of 2020 SpaceX rolled out a line of test tanks including SN7 XXX and XXX. Each of these tanks tested manufacturing techniques weld types steel alloys thicknesses and more. SN7 was the only test tank not to be tested to failure"

"time for some fun. Starship SN8 rolled out to the launch site in two halves. First the lower half including the tanks and engines rolled for testing. After verifying that SN8 passed the needed test the nosecone made its way to the launch site being lifted and welded to the lower half. For the first time since MK1 we had a vehicle that looked like a proper Starship and she was ready to go"

"Up next is the MK1 prototype and boy this thing was rough. MK1 was the first real glimpse we got at the full scale of Starship. After construction Mk1 was rolled to the test site for cryo proof testing which it fairly quickly failed blowing out the top and bottom domes"

"SN4 was a full-size test tank of Starship's LOX and CH4 tanks. After successful cryo-proof tests SN4 received a Raptor engine and conducted X static fire tests. After the fifth test the fuel feed lines providing propellant to SN4 sprung a leak and it indeed was methane so it lit in the flare"

"It was at this time as well that SpaceX built the first Superheavy Booster. BN1 was a build prototype that did nothing more than be built. It had its CH4 tank placed under the LOX tank reverse from where it is today and a hole had to be cut into the roof of the Highbay to stack BN1 to its final height"

"SpaceX opted to skip building SN12-14 as full vehicles; SN12 would be used as a nosecone test article and SN13 & XX were skipped altogether in favor of the forthcoming SN15"
