"I know you know that $LMND writes through two US carriers: LIC (Lemonade Insurance Company) and MIC (Metromile Insurance Company). You are displaying MICs half-year report right At year end 2024: LIC surplus was $195.1m and MIC $25.2m. ACL RBC: LIC $33.8m MIC $4.8m. Thats about 5.25x ACL at MIC right Company-wide regulatory surplus was about $271m at year end 2024 I think. Isnt it so that regulators care about RBC at each legal entity not a random absolute surplus numberBoth LIC and MIC clear those hurdles easily dont they Did I miss something"

"Where do we think this business is going $LMND Got inspired by a chart @Ironic_Ape shared and added future revenue estimates from @PaperBagInvest's model to this"

"Alright. But youre showing MIC mid-year and leaving out LIC. Surplus is roughly 5.5x ACL not absolute minimum. When you say a bad sneeze and you can kiss it goodbye what specific scenario are you modeling for Auto that burns through those RBC multiples Over what horizon and after per-risk/XOL and the XX% quota share And by the absolute minimum do you mean at ACL (100%) If so where do you see $LMND anywhere near that Bedtime for me now but looking forward to continuing tomorrow"

"I agree that with the information at hand it should not be called a partnership. Teslas Fleet API allows third parties to integrate apps into its systems subject to Teslas approval though. Still to me its a sign of Lemonades speed of execution and ability to match its tech stack easily to the best tech stack in the car industry"

"I still think youve got the burden to show how a sneeze wipes $LMND out. π
The document you shared shows about $60m of premiums at MIC. At Lemonades about $1895 average car premium thats 30k cars at that entity. What exact event are you picturing that turns that into a company-ending hit Are you assuming every policy has comprehensive coverage and that a single disaster meaningfully hits all of them at once Those cars are scattered across multiple states. Also I think I do understand BCAR. I also understand that it isnt a regulatory test it doesnt prevent losses and it isnt a substitute for"

"GAAP FCF/share + improving loss ratios & expense leverage is the path to GAAP profitability for $LMND. In both 2023 & 2024 GAAP FCF/share jumped quite a bit from Q2 to Q3. Will be interesting to see if Q3 2025 continues that trend"

"Fair enough to each their own. π To reach $50M net I guess you would need a very specific concentrated scenario: thousands of Lemonade-insured high value cars all with comprehensive in the same catastrophe area suffering total loss damages and losses that exceed deductibles and the threshold for reinsurance so the insurer would still eat most of the loss. Possible in theory but if that happened it would be one of our smaller problems as humans I think"

"Youre absolutely right. Commercial insurance is complex and you know a lot more about it than me. I know a thing or two about AI. Still it's quite telling that a simple document-search chatbot is being hailed as innovation by the industry experts. It doesn't surprise me though"
