"I'm amazed that enough layers of the windscreen still held to stop depressurisation at least going by reports. am guessing the debris or meteorite was moving away from the aircraft reducing relative speed. If it had been moving toward the aircraft at even a couple of hundred knots. supersonic impact of even a tiny pebble would have finished that windscreen. @trend_nosig"
