"Just to clarify a few things for the record: Westinghouse did design the reactors used at Fukushima Daiichi but the 2011 event was primarily caused by an unprecedented 15-meter tsunami which disabled power & cooling systems. Multiple international reviews including by the IAEA concluded that the reactor design was not the root cause it was the extreme natural disaster. As for Plant Vogtle Unit X its a completely different reactor design. The AP1000 which includes passive safety systems that dont rely on external power or human intervention for the first XX hours of an emergency. Thats a huge"
