Im an existing HSBC Visa Platinum holder and tried applying for the TravelOne Card online. Midway through the process (step 3) I got a message saying: Seems like youre an existing customer our support team will contact you in X days. No call for X days until I contacted their support to request a callback."

"Over a week since I'm trying to upgrade my HSBC Visa Platinum to TravelOne. After 4+ calls to customer care the pattern is this - Customer care says We cant process it were not the sales team. Then they promise a priority callback that never actually happens. Tried applying online too it detects Im an existing customer and stops midway with Well call you. That call never comes either.
