"Probably cause the proposal makes no sense. 100k jobs is a complete lie. For a 1GW data center it's 1.5k-2k jobs at best long term. But the big problem is the strain to the grid and what these data centers do to nearby communities. Energy prices are sky rocketing in the US because of data centers. The subsidy is the abundance of cheap energy and forcing increases to neighboring communities . Plus on a per kwh basis Ontario would make more money reselling energy to the US without straining the local grid"
