"INJURY UPDATE: Alexander Isak had to come off in Liverpool vs. Spurs with a leg injury. Scissor-tackle type mechanism typically brings concern for a high/medial ankle sprain potentially due to forced ankle eversion and rotation. Fibula (lower leg bone) also is a common injury site due to direct contact. These types of tackles can also place stress on the knee structures due to forced valgus particularly the MCL. ACL is also vulnerable but less likely. Expected Recovery Times: If high ankle sprain: 8-10 weeks If medial ankle sprain: 2-6 weeks If MCL: depending on grade can range from 2-12"

"Wilson Odobert was forced off with a knee injury in the first half of Spurs vs Newcastle. After contact his knee dropped into a valgus position. That kind of pivoting mechanism along with a visible calf ripple is usually quite consistent with an ACL tear. There is a small chance that he's only suffered a meniscus isolated MCL injury or just a bone bruise. However this is usually unlikely. Expected Recovery Times: If ACL: 9+ months If Meniscus: 3-4 months If Bone Bruise: Less than a week Spurs medical team were also seen running through a series of special tests typically used to assess for"

"Wataru Endo has been stretchered off with a left ankle injury in Liverpool's clash with Sunderland. Forced eversion at the ankle after putting his bodyweight on it brings concern for a high-ankle sprain/syndesmosis injury. Due to the high velocity scans will also need to rule out any lower-leg fracture - fibula is usually the structure at risk here. Expected Recovery Times: If high ankle sprain: 8-10 weeks w/ surgery If fibula fracture alone: 6-10 weeks w/ surgery If syndesmosis + fracture: 12+ weeks Scans will need to confirm the extent of the injury. We'll have to wait for further comment"

"In regards to Noni Madueke being sent for scans - I've skimmed through the first half and it's hard to say that any event could have caused an ACL injury. Yes it seems like he was in some discomfort in his knee but he might have just been sent for precautionary scans on the knee issue. Please take any rumours with a pinch of salt. "Giovanni Leoni had to come off with a knee injury in the second half of the Liverpool vs. Southampton clash. Extremely limited video makes this harder to judge but I'd be worried that his knee falls into a valgus position in this screenshot. Non-contact nature knee collapsing in and pivoting nature make me suspicious of an ACL injury. However this is harder to call due to the live broadcast not showing a clearer replay of it. Potential Recovery Time: If ACL: 9+ months If meniscus: 3-4 months (varies) If bone/bruise: [--] week Physios seemed to have readied Leoni in a position to do a Lachmann's"

"Tino Livramento was forced off in the second half of Newcastles clash with Arsenal after sustaining a left knee injury. The incident likely occurred mid-air following contact with William Saliba which forced his knee into a valgus position placing stress on the medial structures particularly the MCL. The best-case outcome would be no ligament damage with only a bone bruise present. However there is also a chance of associated meniscus involvement. "Hugo Ekitike went off in the second half after suffering a right hamstring injury. Usually stretch-type mechanisms result in a longer layoff. "Alisson Becker had to come off early in the second half after making a sprinting effort to save Osihmens shot on goal in Liverpools clash vs. Galatasaray. From video it wasnt obvious what the injury was but from Alissons recurrent hamstring injury issues as well as the sprinting mechanism its likely that this was a hamstring injury. "Joe Gomez went off in Liverpool vs. Plymouth Argyle with what seemed to be a lower leg injury. But for how long Kulusevski was injured on the 11th of May after a collision with Marc Guehi. Ange initially stated "He should be okay" but eventually needed surgery on the matter. "Martin Odegaard came off with a lower quad/knee injury early in the first half of Arsenal vs. West Ham. A blow to the outer quad at contact brings concern for a painful quad contusion/bone bruise injury. These can be extremely painful at first but can settle quite fast as the week progresses. "Viktor Gykeres was withdrawn at half-time after reporting a right leg injury. Based on the match footage this profile is most likely as a right hamstring strain (grade to be confirmed). "Achraf Hakimi had to come off in PSG's clash vs. Bayern Munich with a lower leg injury. Eversion + external rotation mechanics suggest syndesmosis damage. Hakimi's inability to weight-bear raises concern for a fibula ( tibia) fracture. A good chance this is a fibula fracture + high-grade ankle sprain injury. Possible Recovery Times: If syndesmosis: 8-10 weeks w/ surgery If fibula fracture alone: 6-10 weeks w/ surgery If syndesmosis + fracture: 12+ weeks In the case there is a tibia fracture this would prolong recovery significantly. "Leandro Trossard had to come off in Arsenal's clash vs. Bayern with a calf issue. Based on the physio's tests it looks like the affected area was more the soleus than the gastrocnemius muscle.
