"$ROOT Let this be a warning sign of what leverage can do to your portfolio in the event of a market correction. I ran a XXX% deep-ITM LEAPs portfolio consisting of my favorite growth stocks at the time. Was about 1.3-1.7x leveraged on names like $HIMS $AFRM $SOFI $HOOD and $LMND with expiry dates in Jan 2027. My portfolio went from $18K to $10K in X months in early 2025. Thankfully I was able to recover. But had this recession not a correction I likely wouldve blown up my portfolio.
