"I dont disagree. The AutoPact between Canada and the U.S. created a level playing field and Canada purchases roughly as many American goods as we export to them. Mexico however produces far more than it consumes so its position is quite different from the CanadaU.S. relationship. We also already have overlapping free-trade coverage with Mexico through the CPTPP. A bilateral CanadaU.S. agreement wouldnt be a bad optionas long as Canada is treated as an equal and respected sovereign nation in the negotiations"
