"I didnt say everything was fine. I live in fecken Illinois. Our so called leaders hiked the gasoline tax to XX% among other things. I just said Im currently not paying more for groceries. For some of them Im even paying less than this time last year. Milk eggs bread chicken soft drinks most fruits and veggies cheese pork all are less expensive. Some things like toilet paper have gone up a little but not much. The coffee I buy hasnt changed in price nor so far anyway. I live in a rural area so maybe that makes a difference. Im lucky to live close to the Missouri border; gas where I live is"

Some farmers have sold their land to people with money who have moved here to get away from the Chicago area which a great many folks have done but it was because the taxes have gotten so high they just couldnt make a living. We do still have small farms here though. Mostly corn and soybeans. There is a big commercial chicken farm but it wasnt put on farmland. A few people still raise cattle but not in a big way. And we still have a number of family owned orchards; peaches and apples. We have a large Amish population here and they bought a lot of the farmland people just"

"Southern Illinois. Havent seen any significant changes here so far and some things are actually less than they were this time last year. A few things have gone up a little bit but not enough to make a real impact not yet anyway. Maybe it partly depends on what brands or kinds of things people buy/eat or maybe its just different in rural areas like mine or maybe it has something to do with state sales taxes. I live close to the Missouri border and shop over there sometimes; everything is cheaper there sometimes quite noticeably because their retail taxes are lower. I dont really know for sure"
