Yes MLRs (and thus gross profit percentages) are capped but customers pay more for health insurance than every other type of insurance combined by a good margin. "agreed I think the key here is that it isn't the cuts themselves that are bearish it's that the cuts are a symptom of a slowing economy the question is with AI is this time different IMO: no because AI directly leads to unemployment. "One recent trend in the larger AI trade: Nobody wants a monopoly at any point in the chain. Everyone understands that you need multiple fabs ($INTC AND $TSM) multiple chip designers ($AMD AND $NVDA but also $AVGO and $MRVL) multiple hyperscalers etc. Two notable cases in this process: 1- $ASML is the only company that cant be replaced. Their tech is probably a decade ahead of everyone else. 2- $PLTR on the other hand has shockingly little competition and $PATH is the closest company thats able to challenge them. $PATH has already announced partnerships with key players- watch for the industry"
