The most important is why would anyone transact in $USST - Only minters of $USST / $YLD can redeem for the underlying asset which is not redeemable 1:1 for fiat like $USDC or $USDT - To mint $USST / $YLD you must KYC - In the US (based on available assets) you must be an accredited investor In short: you can only redeem if you hold $YLD which you can only hold if you mint $USST which you can only mint if you KYC. To redeem $YLD can't be locked"
