"My take on all this is; - X Billions in long liquidations is inherently a bearish event for the simple reason that we took the money from those who were willing to bet in favor of this market (not against it). In other words we wiped out a bunch of speculators in a speculative market. - X Because of X If the market manages to recover (in spite of 1) this will be in itself very bullish.
