"It's a bit of a sad misunderstanding. Gavin did not talk about wanting tocreating new tokens he discussed what economies you have in a JAM. Yes he talked about tokens but more in a sense of storage credits similar to how we already have coretime credits. Polkadot has been having coretime credits for several months now but people did not call them tokens. (Technically they are NFTs) I hope this clears up the confusion"

"It's easy to misunderstand the conversation. I hope I can clarify. Polkadot already has compute tokens but nobody calls them that way: coretime credits. Polkadot has been having coretime credits for several months now but people did not call them tokens. (Technically they are NFTs) So similarly to coretime credits he now discusses something that we could call storage credits. But in the end our economy is and will be driven by DOT and it is what will allow us to access coretime credits and storage credits"
