"The game had crippling technical debt with years of spaghetti code in SI's own engine. This makes it difficult to fix and makes hiring developers difficult as they have to learn the internal engine not used anywhere else. The UI change was a byproduct of moving to Unity regardless of what anyone thinks FM24's UI isn't some holy grail. It's just that if you've played enough FM you learn its quirks and how to navigate it. The current UI was awful screens and too many clicks in parts but at its core the navigation system and how stuff is laid out does work it's just coming from FM24 it's jarring"
