"Superman is Very different from the MCU though. Marvel is built from the real World out. Sure there are wizards and shit. But it is firmly in a Setting of our own. The DCU is in its own Sort of Universe. separate from that of our own. It has Giant Kaiju Monsters for goodness sake. Both will have humor and stakes. But if you are upset that one isn't Dark and Gloomy. Well then you don't understand or don't read DC. Because that isn't how DC is as a whole. Superman was far more accurate to how the comics are than What we have seen DC films be in the past XX years"

"Let me reiterate A movie that has Batman and Superman as the titular characters (the two biggest comic book characters of all time) during the biggest boom in the genre theatrically. Add to that throwing in Wonder Woman into the movie to have the DC trinity all on screen for the first time in Live action. It should have made $X Billion. It didnt. It underperformed Was it a success Yes. Did it make money Yes. The film is not goofy my man. It has moments of Humor. but as a whole. the movie is not goofy. A movie is not going to be goofy that has the villain executing someone by shooting them in the head.
