Coastal areas need to be aware from the Carolinas up to Southern New England. This doesn't look to be tropical but it will have similar impacts. This would be equivalent to a strong Nor'easter. "When you look at this at first glance you probably immediately think Fall weather is delayed. I would say thats not true. I see plenty of dry air masses sweeping through with cooler air associated with it but none of these cold fronts/return flow set ups favor any sort of significant cooldown. I keep seeing post saying no cold fronts anytime soon but thats not true. The pattern ahead supports slight above average temperatures but that will still lead us to plenty of days with highs in the 70s to low 80s with lows in the 50s to upper 40s. "MORNING UPDATE ON THE TROPICS 10/13 Even as we close out Hurricane season over the coming weeks we continue to have areas to watch out there. Invest 97L is now Tropical storm #Lorenzo. This is forecast to remain a fish storm. #Melissa is the next name up. There is another wave we are watching that is coming off Africa. Model guidance seems to like this making the entire track across the MDR & getting into the Caribbean (which is not common this time of the year) so I have my doubts. We will watch as always"
