"@ramamoorthy_h @indianviking1 @prpathak1457 @SriNiveshIndia For short term goals this income plus arbitrage is okay. But I am creating a bucket strategy and for goals that are longer than 10years yet I don't want my asset allocation to become too skewed towards equity. Hence trying to get into some blend of equity"

"@ramamoorthy_h @indianviking1 @prpathak1457 @SriNiveshIndia That I was hybrid funds with 30-40% equity. The alternative is to manage at the asset allocation level. However the rebalancing is a pain and causes tax events"

"@ramamoorthy_h @wideclops @pattufreefincal I don't quite agree with this philosophy that risks should be taken only in equity and not in fixed income. It depends on asset allocation. If asset allocation is aggressive in equity then it is better to play safe in fixed income. But if allocation is like XX% in bond funds"

"@ramamoorthy_h @kendheswapnil @nsarathc I already have PPFAS CH fund and kotak debt hybrid fund. So this is mainly to diversify away from too much debt funds. I didn't have exposure to arbitrage funds so this is a way to get that exposure and some equity kicker as well"
