"I agree: Jesus fleeing to Egypt was not modern migration. At the time Egypt and Judea were both Roman provinces so the Holy Family stayed within the same empire. It wasnt international travel or asylum seeking. They went to Egypt by divine command to escape Herod not for economic gain or to resettle. They returned home once the danger passed (Matthew 2:20). Calling Jesus a migrant in todays political sense distorts both scripture and history"

"Besides Jesus fleeing to Egypt was not modern migration. At the time Egypt and Judea were both Roman provinces so the Holy Family stayed within the same empire. Calling Jesus a migrant in todays political sense distorts both scripture and history. Compassion for migrants is right (CCC 2241) but we shouldnt misuse the Holy Familys flight to push modern immigration narratives"

"It is hard not to notice the contrast. Jesus and the apostles preached repentance salvation and the Kingdom of God the only real hope for humanity. Yet now we hear things like Pope Leo XIVs comments on President Trumps plan which sound more like geopolitical analysis than apostolic proclamation and far removed from what the world truly needs. The shift in message is unmistakable. And CCC XXX reminds us how the Church and the world will actually be saved in a way that will surprise many"

"Sadly thats just the world as prophesied by Christ. Even something as beloved as Saint Nicholas Santa and Christmas isnt spared from commercialization. What was once sacred and full of wonder gets flattened into marketing and gimmicks its a reminder of how easily culture can distort what is truly meaningful. (That being said good to see the McRib back for a limited time)"

"Most true teachings are unpopular. John 8:4244 If God were your Father you would love me for I came from God and now I am here You are of your father the devil. Christ is not speaking metaphorically. He distinguishes two kinds of filiation one natural (creation) and one supernatural (grace). Humanity is Gods handiwork but those who reject Christ are not children of God in the salvific sense. So even Christ distinguishes between humanity in general and those who truly belong to the Father through faith and grace. When anyone claims Every human being is a child of God without qualification it"

"Thats misleading. The Herodian Kingdom was a client state until X AD when Judea became a Roman province under a prefect like Pontius Pilate. Most Judeans were not Roman citizens but the region was still under Roman authority. Its like Puerto Rico today. While it is under U.S. authority most residents of a territory are not full U.S. citizens in the sense of voting in federal elections yet the territory is still governed by the federal government. U.S. citizens can freely travel there without a visa or passport just as Judea was under Roman rule even though most people were not Roman citizens"

"GROK: No the claim that Nick Fuentes supported Kamala Harris in 2024 is false. Nick Fuentes did not endorse or support Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. In fact he explicitly stated that he did not vote for her and encouraged others not to vote for either major party candidate. This misinformation likely stems from a misinterpretation or misrepresentation of his statements or actions during that time"

"@FrMatthewLC Scripture is clear that God expects reverence not spectacle. As Saint Paul said all things should be done decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40). Worship is about offering God what He requires not what entertains us"
