"I was shocked. I thought the interview even that bit modeled viewpoint diversity constructive engagement across difference and so on. I travelled three hours roundtrip to record the thing in the studio with an additional hour taping it. I was shocked because I've known many folks at FP for years. Even though we recorded it to correspond with the book launch (October 2024) I kept holding out hope for a while that they didn't squash the interview that it would come out sooner or later. Not to be. The press was not "free" on this issue not at all. Viewpoint diversity neither welcome nor tolerated"

"And of course if that's their philosophy so be it. But I have no idea why they decided to try to fold Middle East politics then into a conversation about a book that didn't touch on those issues at all. I didn't bring up Gaza Lebanon Israel etc. My interviewer decided to randomly swerve in that direction. They could've just cut that bit out and aired the rest -- I'd have respected them more if they did that or offered to do that being honest and direct about their editorial policies. But nope -- they just buried the whole interview without any warning or explanation. sad"
