"If history is any guide this won't see volume production until 2030 at the earliest and it will be considerably more expensive than a conventional lithium ion battery pack. But by then Robotaxis are going to be flooding the market. If the car is driving itself it doesn't really matter how performant the battery pack is. I'm more interested in high-energy density solid state batteries for aerospace where it would be hugely beneficial and have greater benefits to the economics of the aircraft.
