"The concept art confirms that the setting will be at least between the 12th and late 15th centuries. I hope we get into the early 1500s so there's pike and shot animations to expand on with mods. I only ask for a solid game that goes back to the more "mil-sim" era of TW"

"Kingdom Come Deliverance II is not only a great RPG but it's one of the very few genuine attempts at capturing medieval life through the medium of videogames. I don't really care about The Game Awards but if they won't give it any recognition we should"

"Man stage fencing ain't what it used to be. Look how fluid and fast paced the exchanges are. There's the classic environment assisted stunts that are a bit goofy/dated (like being trapped under the chandelier) but this caliber of swordfighting is just gone now"

"2 late 16th century half armors housed in Vienna. Both are extremely similar but even minor differences on the gilding patterns the color of the velvet (edge) padding and the overall desing of the bevor make for such a different image"

"I love that the Americans were trying to figure out how to protect their men in the TRENCHES OF WW1 and went: Yeah just give them medieval armor. This stems from contacting Bashford Dean the Curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art"

"Fun fact: The stereotype of spaniards being obsessed with firearms was true. In the 16th century they ran into recruitment problems as too many of their men wanted to serve as arquebussiers at a time where pikemen and cavalrymen were dearly needed"

"The armor from Alessandro Farnese Duke of Parma also known as the "The Lightning of War" side by side with Needle Knight Leda's set from Elden Ring. Leda's kit ins't solely inspired by this example but I think it was definitely the base reference"

"More fantasy should do guns. The co-existance of armor and firearms is one of the most interesting periods in human history and It's a really good way to add variety to traditional RPG classes. It also leads us to the coolest thing ever: Knights with guns"

"What is the strangest armor you know about The people of modern day Kiribati wore armor made out of coconout fiber human hair and puffer fish that's gotta be up there. Most articles I've come across classify them as fully ceremonial but I'll take that with a pinch of salt"

"But yeah sallets fro the ealry 1500s are very interesting. Some have armet visors some have flat full face visors paired with shallow bevors (essentially jaw-line only). The tails are often very small and articulated or barely even there. Even the ones that look most like a sallet will have very small visors and very tall bevors which maybe tells you that they were mostly using it tilted or raising the visor constantly"

"The Black Knife assassin's from Elden Ring wear clearly fantastical armor. Or do they As always the artists at from software take creative liberties but there is historical inspiration. We're dealing with solid plate armor covered in decorative scales for which we have evidence. The gauntlets are based on late 15th century gothic armor much like the Darkwraiths from LOTR which I'd venture to say inspired the overall design"
