"@yeaookk @CardanoDash Mostly referring to Lido or Rocket Pool for staking ETH and staking SOL through Jito or Marinade. They are essentially hacky protocols to emulate liquid staking (what Cardano offers natively). So it's definitely an arbitrary definition and our position is to challenge it"

"@yeaookk @CardanoDash The thing is TVL should not include staking because it adds noise to the metric. Otherwise IOG could simply create a meaningless proxy smart contract that holds staked ADA and redistributes the ADA rewards to the owner wallets and it'd result in +$10B in TVL on DefiLlama. 😅"

"@yeaookk @CardanoDash We don't really need to do that on Cardano it was just to illustrate why it shouldn't count at all. And it's good that they at least let you toggle those values from the TVL in the UI but if you fetch them via API I think they do include liquid staking smart contracts"
