"Experienced an exceptional taste of Sri Lankan hospitality We were at this beautiful riverside restaurant called Pier XX at Bentota a drunkard on the table next to us started screaming & was passing some comments At first we thought of ignoring but he continued. We were visibly uncomfortable. A group of local guys next to us saw this called the manager asked him to escort that drunkard out. He resisted so we changed the table. "Enough praise Now heres some criticisms of Sri Lanka - Not walkable. Barring some parts of Colombo most of Sri Lanka is not walkable. Good thing is motorists arent too crazy & follow rules but there need to be wide footpaths in most of the towns - Mirissa is not compatible with PickMe app. Local tuktuks charge a bomb. Negotiation is important as they charge almost 2x of what they should. Theyre polite though not the usual menacing mafia vibe - Language. They arent too good with their English.
