Im proud to add my name to the Vegetarian Societys open letter to Defra calling for the upcoming Animal Welfare Strategy to include a clear commitment to end the practice of male chick culling. "Pavement Parking: A Tale of Two Cities When I visited Liverpool I was struck by how widespread pavement parking was it made getting around difficult and felt deeply unfair for many people. Edinburgh isnt perfect but the pavement parking ban here has genuinely transformed my walks around Edinburgh South West. Its made our streets more accessible and helped build fairer more inclusive communities. At the conference I had the chance to speak with Guide Dogs UK and the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust about my role in making the Edinburgh ban a reality.
