"Bigger issue is the cars themselves. If you get more horsepower less drag less tire patch and stock lug nut pattern the stages will not matter as much. Best cars and drivers will break out and fuel saving racing goes down. One tweak to stages that makes sense in my opinion is do not count caution laps at stage break.
