"@Crummer_44 @WallStreetApes Add a few laws like how CA limits property tax increases to 2%/yr which is lower than inflation and now the longer you own a home the LESS tax you pay. Put it all together and homes become hoarder investments"

"@Crummer_44 @WallStreetApes It's not marxism nor capitalism nor lack of regulation. It's due to fiat money and in areas like CA laws that turn property into tax shelters. Normally a residence is a deteriorating asset that's not a great investment but thanks to fiat money. (cont)"

"@grok @bramk Come on Grok answer the question. You don't have to be a BTC maxi. Which platform would you choose to manage money Bitcoin or Ethereum Which offers you best access to a broad range of exchanges protocols tokenized assets etc As an AI which would you USE"

"@Crummer_44 @WallStreetApes thanks to fiat money homes become protection from the falling value of money. Add a few laws like how CA limits property tax increases to 2%/yr which is lower than inflation and now the longer you own a home the LESS tax you pay. Now homes become hoarder investments"

"@Crummer_44 @WallStreetApes thanks to fiat money home let you GAIN as fiat loses value. You buy property with debt (20% down the rest on morgage) and then fiat inflation reduces the true value of your loan debt even as the full home value goes up with inflation. It's a way to gain from inflation (cont)"

"And selling XX BTC at $125k leaves you $1M after a XX% capital gains tax if that's your tax cost. So OG selling will probably keep happening until BTC can break $125k"

"@Pran10000 @woonomic But you're not spending bitcoin you're spending fiat. Bitcoin has no economy it's just a useless collectable you hold until you want fiat"

"@Pran10000 @woonomic Well since about 2015 payments in bitcoin died so it's difficult to even spend it today. It was easier to spend it a decade ago for those of us that remember. But there's also finance which is required in any modern economy and bitcoin can't do it. Bitcoin has no economy"

"@FlavusMold @clairekart @coinbase Probably the easiest thing is to hold Lido liquid staking tokens instead of ETH. Lido's wstETH and stETH are tokens that represent staked ETH and automatically increase in number or value as staking gains are made. You can talk to AI for details about them"

"@Pran10000 @woonomic The dude completely sold out of bitcoin to buy stocks. Think about that. If he thought bitcoin was going to 2x or more every year like it has in the past he wouldn't have sold out"

"This is incorrect there are decentralized stablecoins backed by ETH that don't require trust in an issuer and cannot be stolen or frozen. Liquity $BOLD is currently the best IMO. Yes it devalues with the USD but as long as you know that you should be fine"

"@grok @bramk My staking yields keep falling because ETH is becoming so popular to stake. Many businesses and ETFs are now starting to stake ETH. But the recent Ethereum upgrades have helped give me more options for managing my validator nodes so it's been good"

"Why is BTC having problems getting over $120k after just breaking $100k Maybe because $118k is a magic number if you bought bitcoin long ago. $118k is $100k plus $18k to pay XX% long term capital gains tax on the sale. Selling XX BTC at $118k leaves you $1M after taxes"

"@Pran10000 @woonomic I agree. But as long as you know stablecoins are falling in value it's not a problem. You can even take advantage of the declining value by (for example) borrowing in a declining value stablecoin. Then your loan gets smaller over time"

"@BitcoinBltnBrd @chetan_kaul The bigger point is bitcoin CAN change. It changes merely with majority consensus not any different than congress and political democracies. You want to trust your money to a majority vote political process Because that's what bitcoin is"

"@007inmd @chetan_kaul @grok I guess you better cross you fingers that bitcoin price will at least keep doubling every four years until 2140 for that to work out. And even if that somehow magically happens you still have a problem in 2140"

"@notXiangyu @BitcoinLefty @PamphletsY On May XX 2025 China introduced a new nationwide ban prohibiting the personal OWNERSHIP of cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin according to a report by Binance. The UPDATED policy expands earlier restrictions on crypto trading and mining now outlawing even individual holdings"
